The Robotics Museum at Science City, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is India’s first museum dedicated to functional robots. Developed in collaboration with CCEL and ESI, this innovative robotics and technology museum design showcases over 170 robots, both functional and static. The museum offers visitors a cutting-edge robotics exhibit experience, providing an immersive environment to explore robotics technology and its diverse applications in various industries like healthcare, entertainment, and space exploration.

Exploring the World of Robots

The Robotics Gallery invites visitors into the fascinating world of robots, with exhibits across multiple fields of technology:

  • Entertainment Robots: Experience robots playing soccer, badminton, and air hockey, highlighting the engaging side of robotics.
  • Industrial Robots: See robots used for industrial tasks such as assembly, agriculture, and space exploration, including contributions from DRDO.
  • Medical Robots: Explore robots designed for surgical procedures and healthcare support, showcasing the impact of robotics in modern medicine.
  • Utility Robots: Discover robots that assist in tasks like painting, 3D scanning, and even dancing, demonstrating their practical applications in everyday life.

Significance of the Gallery

The Robotics Museum in India was inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on July 16, 2021, marking a significant milestone for India’s technological future. The event emphasized the growing public interest in robotics and artificial intelligence in museums. We are proud to be part of a project that gained national recognition. The Prime Minister’s extended visit highlighted the museum’s cultural and educational importance in fostering interest in technology.
